Ascension Thursday

The Ascension of Our Lord, which occurred 40 days after Jesus Christ rose from the dead on Easter, is the final act of our redemption that Christ began on Good Friday. On this day, the risen Christ, in the sight of His apostles, ascended bodily into Heaven.

We celebrated by blowing bubbles at prayer time and saying prayers for someone as the bubbles rose up into the air. 

Our Ascension craft reminds us of Jesus rising up to heaven.

Our Wonderful Teachers

We have been exploring how the Holy Spirit works in people around us. We see the Holy Spirit working in our wonderful teachers.

Crazy Hair Day

Wow look at all the crazy hair. I was so excited when I found the photos Mrs Newton took everyone looks amazing and so crazy. I love the colours and crazy designs.

Happy Mothers Day

Rapunzel Rap

Yesterday we walked to Kaiapoi Borough School and watched the New Zealand Theatre Company perform Rapunzel Rap. It was amazing and we all enjoyed it.

                           

                              

Quiet Monsters

We have some new members in our class and they are the Quiet Monsters. They love quiet and working with people that are working quietly and on task.

                          

Sport Coaches

This term we are developing our football skills. First we learnt that you have to use the side of your foot to dribble the ball not your toe. Then we practised by pretending to be animals from the jungle. We dribbled quickly and slowly and had to make sure we controlled the ball. This was quite hard sometimes. Then we played traffic cops, this is like sneak up grannie with footballs.
